PAUL PAGK //

Born in London in 1962, lives and works in New York since 1988. Educated in Paris, he exhibited in 1984 and 1988 at the prestigious gallery Jean Fournier in Paris before moving to New York. His first solo shows in New York were in 1991 and 1993 at Thread Waxing Space, then in 1996 and 1998 at CRG Gallery. His work is regularly exhibited in France in museums and at Galerie Eric Dupont, in Europe (Germany, Spain, and UK), and in United States. Among recent shows in the US, he has exhibited at Miguel Abreu Gallery, New York; Exit Art, New York; Thomas Erbern Gallery, New York; Moti Hasson Gallery, New York; Edward Thorp Gallery, New York; Studio 10, New York; 33 Orchard Gallery, New York; Some Walls, Oakland, CA; George Lawson Gallery, San Francisco, CA; iMOCA, Indianapolis, IN.His work is included in public collections, including Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, New York Presbyterian-Cornell Hospital, New York, Fonds National D'Art Contemporain , Paris, Le Bon Marché (LVMH group), Paris, Springfield Museum of Art, Ohio, L'Artotec, Limoges, FRAC Picardie, Musée de Toulouse.He received the following Awards and Grants: Prix Feneon (1987), Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (1998), Sheldon Bergh Prize (2000), Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation Grant (2012), Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (2012), and Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters & Sculptors Grant (2014).
